Classes & Workshops
Our hands-on workshops in African drumming, dance, and drum making spark creativity, build skills, and deepen cultural appreciation for all ages. In the past, we’ve proudly partnered with Baltimore-area schools, churches and organizations, including the Ray of Hope Cultural Summer Camp, for students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Led by members of Xaala Mainama, our African Arts Ensemble, each session helped participants build confidence by connecting with the richness of their heritage.
After School Programs
Our African drumming after-school programs go beyond music — they teach children valuable life skills. Through rhythm, movement, and cultural connection, students learn leadership, teamwork, and self-expression. We foster a sense of community while empowering youth to discover their voice and build confidence for a brighter future. Offered as one-time events or multi-session series. Let's partner together to uplift the youth of Baltimore. We also provide speaking engagements and school performances.
